Eryzole:

Generic ingredients: The generic ingredients of the medicine are erythromycin and sulfisoxazole. Eryzole acts as an antibiotic for treating different types of bacterial infection. Eryzole may also be used for other purposes not listed here.

Precautions:

  • If you are allergic to diuretics, sun scream containing PABA or sulphonamide, inform your doctor before taking eryzole.
  • If you have a history of liver disease, kidney disease, blood disorders and allergies, inform your doctor before taking eryzole.
  • Infants, if prescribed eryzole should be observed continuously. If the child vomits or feel irritation, you should consult child specialist immediately.
  •  Eryzole when taken with certain other drugs may change the effect of the medicine. If you are taking any other, you should consult your doctor before taking eryzole.
  • If you are pregnant or plan to pregnant, you should consult your doctor.
  • If you are a nursing woman taking eryzole,  you should avoid breast-feeding.

 

Warning:

  • If are are older than 65 years of age, you may face more side effects and you should also continuously be monitored by your doctor.
  • Do not take eryzole, if you are taking terfenadine, pinozide, eisapride or astemizole. Eryzole may interact with these medicines.
  • Take eryzole as directed by the doctor. Do not stop eryzole even if you are feeling better without consulting your doctor.
  • If you are allergic to eryzole, you should not take the medicine.

 

Overdose:

  • An overdose of eryzole may cause the symptoms like dizziness, nausea, weakness, decreased appetite, diarrhea, headache,  slow heartbeat, vomiting, decreased or irregular breathing, fever and unconsciousness.
  • You should seek immediate medical help, if you observe any of these symptoms.

 

Side Effects:

  • The more severe side effects of eryzole may include allergic reactions  (swelling of face, lip, throat and difficulty in respiration), liver problem, unconsciousness, yellowish skin or eyes, severe dizziness or fainting, fever, rashes, blood in urine, diarrhea and abdominal cramp and unusual bleeding and bruising. If you observe any of these side effects, you should consult your doctor immediately.
  • The common less serious side effects include headache, dizziness,  dry mouth, cough, nausea, vomiting, constipation, vaginal yeast infection, diarrhea and weakness and increased sensitivity to sunlight.
  • Some other side effects may also occur. In all such cases you should consult your doctor.

 

How to take:

  • You should take the medicine in appropriate doses only if prescribed by the doctor.
  • The eryzole can be taken with or without food. The tablet should be taken with full glass of water.
  • Take 4 to 6 glass of water daily.
  • If you missed a dose, take the medicine as soon as you remember. If it is time to take next dose, take only a single dose. You should not take double dose.
  • You should not stop eryzole, with out consulting your doctor.

 

How to store:

  • Eryzole suspension should be stored in refrigerator.
  • Medicine should be kept out of reach of children.
  • Outdated medicines should not be used.
