How to take CylertThis medication is given once a day to be taken in the morning. If your child misses a dose have him/her take it as soon as you remember. However if you remember at the ends of the day or the next day just skip the does that was missed and go back to the child’s regular schedule. Never give 2 doses at once it may have serious side effects. Side effects of this medication The most common side effect of this medication is the child being unable to sleep. There are also less common and rare side effects associated with this medication. This could include any of the following:

Special waringsWhen your child starts taking this medication tell him/her to be careful when climbing tress or stairs or any other activities that will need them to be alert until the yare used to this medication. There are also times when this medication if taken for a longtime can stunt your child’s growth. If this is a problem make sure you talk to your doctor about it. Food and drug interactionsThere are times when this drug is not safe to take seizure medications such as Tesretol or drugs that have to do with the nervous system such as Ritalin. Be sure to tell your doctor if you r child is taking any of these medications. Recommended dose for this medicationFor children who are starting to take this meds the doctor will usually start it at 37.5 milligrams a day. Sometimes the doctor will stop the meds to see if the problems will return and see if the child still needs to be on the treatment or not.
