What is Elocon?
Elocon is cortisone like steroid that comes in a cream, ointment and lotion form, it is used to treat a rash on the skin.
How to take Elocon
Apply a thin coat of Elocon on the affect area only once a day. Massage it on your skin until you can no longer see it. This medication is for skins only do not use it in your nose or in your mouth. And keep it out of your eyes. If you get it in your eyes wash it out with plenty of water. Once you have put the scream on your skin let the air hit it do not cover it with any type of bandage or wrap, because it will cause the medication to go into the blood stream. Do not use this medication longer than your doctor has prescribed it to you for. If you do not seem to be getting any better talk to your doctor and ask him what else can be done.
Side effects of Elcon
Side effects of this medication is not known to cause any serious illness but if they become bothersome talk to your doctor about it. Side effects are as follow:
- Acne
- Boils
- Burning of the skin
- Infection
- Itching
Drug interactions
It is not yet known if these medications have interacted with any drugs. But to be on the safe side be sure to tell your doctor about what medications you are taking whether they are prescription or non prescription drugs. This includes herbs and vitamins. Also tell your doctor if you have taken any illegal drugs as well such as marijuana or any other drugs.
Warnings when taking this medication
If you are pregnant or could become pregnant tell your doctor right away because you should dot take this medication. It could cause harm to the baby. Also do not take while breast feeding because it dose into the milk and could be bad for the baby could cause some dangerous side effects?
