Accuneb

What is Accuneb?
Accuneb is a drug containing Albuterol and is prescribed for the prevention and relief of an asthma attack. It helps to relive attacks due to strenuous exercise. It also helps to prevent an attack by taking it before doing nay physical activity.
How should Accuneb be taken?
Do not take Accuneb more frequently then your doctor prescribes it to you. Increasing the dose can be dangerous and can even make asthma symptoms worse. If the dose your doctor prescribes does not provide relief for your symptoms or your symptoms become worse be sure to tell your doctor. Be sure to shake the inhalation canister well before using it also make sure it is sealed firmly in the mouth piece. Before using it for the very first time press four sprays into the air away from your face. Also do this with two sprays when it has not been used in at least four days. Use the adapter that comes only with this product. Do not use it with any other device also wash the mouth piece at least once a week to prevent infection in the lungs.
Precautions for taking Accuneb.
Before taking Accuneb tell your doctor if you have any of the following….
- Heart disease
- High blood pressure
- Epilepsy
- Diabetes
- Overactive thyroid
- Difficulty swallowing
- Lover disease
- Kidney disease
This medication is not yet known if it will harm an unborn baby during pregnancy so to be on the safe side talk to your doctor is you are pregnant or could become pregnant while on this medication. And also it is not known if Accuneb enters into breast milk so do not take it if breast feeding to be on the safe side, unless your doctor tells u differently.
Side effects of Accolate.
Stop taking Accuneb and go to your local emergency room right away if you feel any of the following very serious side effects….
- An allergic reaction which would include difficulty breathing, closing of your throat, swelling of your lips tongue or face.
- Hives
- Irregular heart beat
- Chest pain
Other less serious side effects could include any of the following….
- Headaches
- Dizziness
- Lightheadedness
- Insomnia
- Tremor or nervousness
- Sweating
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
If these side effects become bothersome be sure to talk to your doctor to see what can be done about them.
Possible food and drug interactions with Accolate.
Before taking Accuneb tell your doctor if you are taking any of the following medications….
- Tenormin
- Metoprolol
- Propranolo
- Bisoproplo
- Acebutolo
- Bisoprolo
- Carreolo
- Labetalol
- Anti-depressants
- Caffeine
- Diet pills
- Decongestion
You may not be able to take Accuneb with any of the medications listed above also be sure to talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking any over the counter drugs or herbal products.
Recommended dosage for Accolate.
Two inhalations repeated every 4 to 6 hours. More frequent use is not recommended there are times when inhalation every 4 hours may be prescribed. Always be sure to take this medication 15 minutes before doing any physical activity to prevent an attack from occurring.
Overdose
Seek emergency medical attention if you feel you have taken an over dose, symptoms of over dose could include any of the following.
- Angina
- Chest pain
- Irregular heart beat
- Fluttering heart
- Seizures
- Tremor
- Weakness
- Headaches
- Nausea
- Vomiting
Storing your medication.
This medication should be stored at room temperature as low as 60 degress F and protected from excessive heat.
