What is Accuretic?
Accunetic is given to treat high blood pressure. This medication is used to clean access water from the body but it also washes too much potassium from your body as well. So be sure to keep your potassium levels up by eating food with potassium in them.
How should Accuretic be taken?
Be sure to follow the direction given to you by your doctor you can take this medication with or with out food. Do not stop taking this medication with out taking to your doctor first.
Precautions for taking Accuretic.
Be sure to tell your doctor and dentist that you are taking Accuretic before you go into any kind of surgery or go under any anesthetic do not use any potassium substitutes or salt substitutes without telling your doctor it may cause serious illness. When you are on this medication be sure to tell your doctor to give you a blood test to check for kidney function be sure to monitor it while taking this medication. If you have a kidney disease this medication should be use with caution. This also goes if you have a live disease, also be careful if you have diabetes because it could raise your blood sugar. How this medication will affect children has not yet been found out so talk to your doctor if a child is in need of this medication.
Side effects of Accuretic.
Possible side effects of this medication could include any of the flowing symptoms….
- Resistant cough
- Diarrhea
- Head ache
- Sensitivity to light
- Loss of taste
- Upset stomach
- Loss of appetite
- Tiredness more than normal

Possible food and drug interactions with Accuretic.
If this medication is taken with others it could affect your condition Check with your doctor before combining Accuretic with any of the following medications…
- Diabetes medication
- Digoxin
- High blood pressure medication
- Potassium
- Narcotics
- Salt substitutes
Recommended dosage for Accuretic.
This medication is usually taken once a day. Your doctor will change the dose depending on how your blood pressure will act with this medication. 80 milligrams is the daily dose for this medication.
Overdose
Like with any other medication there is always consequences for an over dose. And you need to seek medical attention this are some of the symptoms that could come on if you have an over dose. Your blood pressure may drop to a dangerously low level, you may also get a dry mouth hand be really thirsty. You may also get mucles pai and cramps, nausea and vomiting, weak or irregular heart beat. Weakness or dizziness

Store this medication in cool dry place at room temperature and away from children and animals.
