ERYC

General Information
Most infections in the body are caused by the presence of bacteria. The bacteria invade and grow in the human body, eventually breaking down the immune system and causing illness.  The drug class that controls or eradicates these bacteria is called antibiotics. Erythromycin prevents bacteria from producing proteins, a process that disrupts bacterial growth and multiplication but does not affect human cells. It is available in tablet form, usually 250 mg and 500 mg, liquid, capsules, and topical solutions.
