Blood Test : Toxicology

This blood test is used as a general screening tool to detect a large number of popularly abused medications, or "street drugs." Patients who require this test are those thought to have consumed a harmful drug, victims of an overdose, the unconscious or unresponsive, or those with bizarre, unexplainable behavior. Medications and street drugs that may be detected with this test include:
